Musashi Urawa Japanese Language Institute
A Japanese language school in Minami-ku, Saitama, near Musashi-Urawa Station — a junction of the Saikyo and Musashino lines, about 18 minutes by train to Ikebukuro. Established as an educational corporation in 2003, it now runs two campus buildings about 200 metres apart.
Its programs focus on preparing students for university, graduate school, and vocational school entrance in Japan, with courses running 1.5 to 2 years. Small classes and an individual study plan matched to each student's level and goals come with career guidance and part-time job support.

AFC International Academy
AFC International Academy (AFC国際学院) is in Suruga Ward, Shizuoka City — a Shinkansen stop about an hour from Tokyo and Nagoya, and 1.5 hours from Kyoto. Opened in April 2023 by AFC-HD AMS Life Science Co., Ltd., its building houses classrooms and a dormitory together, so international students live right where they study. Two further-study programs are offered: an 18-month course (October intake, 1,200 hours) building toward JLPT N2 and leading to university or vocational school, and a 2-year course (April intake, 1,600 hours) building toward JLPT N1 and leading to university or graduate school. In October 2025, the Nagoya Regional Immigration Services Bureau designated the school an "Appropriate School (Class II)."
Tokyo Galaxy Japanese Language School
Founded in April 1986 in Shinkawa, Chuo-ku — a quiet business district in central Tokyo near Nihonbashi and Ginza — Tokyo Galaxy Japanese Language School is recognised under Japan's School Education Act, with its university-preparatory course designated by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT). Its comprehensive Japanese course is split into 11 ability-based levels, from beginner to advanced, alongside dedicated tracks for university admission, graduate school preparation, and business Japanese. Intakes open in January, April, July and October, with programs from 3 months to 2 years depending on visa status. Students come from Korea, China, Taiwan, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, and as far as Europe and the US.
Fukuoka YMCA Japanese Language School
Fukuoka YMCA Japanese Language School has taught Japanese since 1982 under the Fukuoka YMCA, and has admitted student-visa learners since 1990. It runs two campuses in Fukuoka — the main Tenjin campus and a second campus, Fukuoka YMCA Gakuin, in Nanakuma — with a multinational student body drawn mostly from across Asia. The General Japanese Course runs 1.5 to 2 years, from beginner to advanced level, with April and October intakes. The University-Prep Course runs 2 years (April intake) or 1.5 years (October intake), preparing students for the EJU and university entrance exams.
