Programme & Pre-Departure Fee

Rp 20,000,000

The programme fee covers end-to-end guidance: preparing you to find a job, taking you through selection and interviews with Japanese companies, guiding you through your documents, and getting you on the plane — plus support that continues once you have started working in Japan.

What the Fee Covers

Interview Preparation (Kaiwa)

  • A full briefing on job opportunities, the Tokutei Ginou sectors you can choose from, how working there actually runs, and daily life in Japan

  • Japanese conversation (kaiwa) classes at N4 level where they are needed

  • Dedicated kaiwa practice for the mensetsu — the interview with the Japanese company itself

Job Matching & Work Preparation

  • Help finding and matching you to job openings in Japan

  • Preparation for the company's selection process and interview

  • Support all the way through to preparing for departure

Administration & Documents

  • We check the Rirekisho (Japanese-format CV) you write yourself and tell you what to improve, until it is ready to send to a company

  • Going through the Kyujinhyo and the employment contract issued by the receiving company with you, before you sign anything

  • Step-by-step guidance for the paperwork you file yourself — from which documents you need to how each application runs:

    EKTLN (overseas worker card) · BPJS Ketenagakerjaan · Visa

  • Help assembling the paperwork for the Certificate of Eligibility (CoE) application

  • The P3MI fee, where your departure has to go through one

  • A follow-up medical check-up (a second MCU) where one is needed — typically when the wait for the CoE runs past about four months

Departure Preparation

  • A pre-departure briefing before you fly

  • Someone with you through the departure process itself

  • Your flight to Japan, where the receiving company covers it

Support After You Start

The programme does not end when you land. As a participant you keep access to all of this:

  • A JLPT N3 preparation programme (self-study materials)

  • Support while you are working in Japan

  • Consultation for alumni

  • Help with changing jobs, for alumni

  • The alumni community and the services that run through it

  • Alumni gatherings, seminars, and workshops on careers, education, scholarships, and business opportunities in Japan — as each programme runs

Not Included in This Fee

  • The official EKTLN, BPJS Ketenagakerjaan, and visa fees

    Paid directly by the participant. Guiding you through those processes stays part of the programme fee.

  • The SSW and JLPT examination fees

  • Your flight to Japan, where the receiving company does not cover it

  • The first medical check-up

    Once a company has accepted you.

  • Getting your passport issued

  • The regular Japanese language courses at N5 and N4 level

  • The SSW Preparation Course

Financing of up to 100% of the programme fee

For the Tokutei Ginou (SSW) programme, financing of up to 100% of the programme fee is available. Repayment only starts once you have arrived in Japan and begun working — the instalment is not fixed in advance but agreed together, taking your salary there into account. So the cost of departure does not have to be found all at once up front.

Questions About the Cost

What does the Tokutei Ginou (SSW) programme cost at Nakamura Study Japan?

The Tokutei Ginou (SSW) programme fee is Rp 20,000,000 per participant. It covers the career and Japanese-language briefing, job matching and interview preparation, document guidance — including checking your Rirekisho and walking you through the EKTLN, BPJS Ketenagakerjaan, and visa processes — departure preparation, and continued support once you have started working in Japan. The official EKTLN, BPJS Ketenagakerjaan, and visa fees are paid separately by the participant.

What does language training at a Japanese language school cost?

There is no single figure that is true for everyone: the cost follows the school you choose, the city it is in and how long the programme runs, which is why we do not put one number on this page. Tell us your goal and your current Japanese level, and our team will work the estimate out with you at your consultation.

Can the programme fee be paid in instalments?

For the Tokutei Ginou (SSW) programme, financing of up to 100% of the programme fee is available. Repayment only starts once you have arrived in Japan and begun working, and the instalment is agreed together taking your salary there into account — it is not a fixed figure set in advance. The facility is subject to terms, conditions and availability, so please ask during your consultation.

What is not included in the Tokutei Ginou programme fee?

Not included: the official EKTLN, BPJS Ketenagakerjaan, and visa fees, which the participant pays directly; the SSW and JLPT examination fees; your flight to Japan if the receiving company does not cover it; the first medical check-up once a company has accepted you; getting your passport issued; the regular Japanese courses at N5 and N4 level; and the SSW Preparation Course. Guidance through the document processes and kaiwa practice for the job interview do remain part of the programme fee.

Are the visa, EKTLN, and BPJS Ketenagakerjaan costs included?

The guidance is included; the official fees are not. You file the EKTLN, BPJS Ketenagakerjaan, and visa applications yourself, and our team walks you through how — from which documents you need to how each application runs. The official fees for those three are paid directly by the participant, outside the Rp 20,000,000 programme fee. What the programme fee does cover is the document guidance itself, help assembling the Certificate of Eligibility (CoE) paperwork, and the P3MI fee where your departure has to go through one.

Does Nakamura write the Rirekisho and the employment contract for me?

You write the Rirekisho yourself, and our team then checks it and gives you feedback until it is ready to send to a company. The employment contract is issued by the Japanese company taking you on, not by Nakamura — we go through it with you, together with the Kyujinhyo, before you sign.

Is the flight to Japan included in the programme fee?

It depends on the receiving company. If the company taking you on covers the flight, it is included and costs you nothing. If it does not, the flight sits outside the programme fee and the participant arranges it themselves.

Is there still support after I start working in Japan?

Yes. Tokutei Ginou (SSW) participants keep a JLPT N3 preparation programme in the form of self-study materials, support while working in Japan, consultation for alumni, help with changing jobs, access to the alumni community, and alumni gatherings, seminars, and workshops as each programme runs.
