The April & October Japanese Language School Intakes: How to Apply with Nakamura
Want to learn Japanese in Japan itself? April and October are the two largest Japanese language-school intakes, and their deadlines repeat on the same pattern every year: paperwork for the April intake generally closes around December of the preceding year, and paperwork for the October intake around June of the same year. In practice that means starting your documents roughly 8–10 months before classes begin. The earlier you apply, the wider your choice of school and city—and places are limited.
The program offers 1–2 years of language study in Tokyo, Osaka, Fukuoka, and other major cities, with full support from the very start until your visa comes through.
