Nakamura Study Japan’s Hospitality Industry Work Program supports participants who wish to work in Japan’s hospitality sector, including hotels, ryokans, and resorts, according to Japanese standards. It helps them pass the Tokutei Ginou hospitality skill test and provides full assistance with job matching, visa processing, and pre-departure arrangements until they begin their new career in Japan.
The hospitality industry includes jobs related to providing accommodation and guest services, such as working in hotels, ryokans (traditional Japanese inns), resorts, and business lodges.
In Japan, this sector plays an essential role in supporting tourism and the local economy. Due to high tourist demand and a shortage of domestic workers, there are growing opportunities for foreign workers.
Work directly in Japan without a university degree

A typical salary ranges from JPY 170,000 to 200,000 per month (excluding overtime and night shift allowances). Depending on living costs, many workers are able to save a portion of their income each month while enjoying stable employment and career growth.
Our Service
We offer full support for individuals who wish to work in Japan’s hospitality industry. We partner with officially registered hotels, ryokans, and hospitality companies to ensure all job placements are legal and safe.
Applicants undergo document screening and an initial interview with Nakamura Study Japan, followed by a final interview with one of our Japanese partner companies. Successful candidates will receive an official job offer before starting their preparatory training.
Our training program includes:
Japanese language classes aiming for JFT-Basic A2 or JLPT N4
Hospitality skills preparation for the official SSW skill exam
After completing training and passing the required exams, participants will proceed with visa application, pre-departure orientation, and accommodation arrangements. Upon arrival in Japan, they will receive guidance from partner companies and local support organizations to help them adapt smoothly.

Language Preparation (9 months): Study Japanese until passing JFT Basic A2 or JLPT N4 and the hospitality skill exam.
SSW Exam Preparation (1 month): Study and prepare for the SSW hospitality skill test.
Document Preparation (1 month): Prepare necessary documents and CV for interviews.
Job Matching (2 months): Submit your CV to Japanese companies for job placement.
Interview (2 months): After passing document screening, attend interviews with Japanese companies.
Pre-Departure Preparation (1 month): Complete visa processing, flight booking, and accommodation before departure.
To address labor shortages in key industries, including hospitality, the Japanese government introduced the Specified Skilled Worker (SSW) visa program.
This visa allows foreign workers to legally work in Japan for up to five years with the same rights, wages, and benefits as Japanese employees.
Yes, Japanese ability is required. For Tokutei Ginou, a minimum of JLPT N4 or JFT A2 is needed; for Gijinkoku, at least JLPT N2. You can study Japanese through Nakamura Study Japan’s language courses before applying.

The program is open to anyone aged 18–35 years old who has completed high school or higher education and wants to work in Japan. Japanese language ability (JLPT or JFT) is required, but training is available for beginners.
For the Gijinkoku program, participants must be university graduates (Bachelor’s degree) and have a minimum JLPT N2 certificate.
